Carli Barnes
Executive Assistant
Kansas City has always felt like home. I was born in New Orleans and have lived in Missouri, Tennessee and Texas, but I've spent most of my life around Kansas City, close to friends, family and the community I love. After graduating from the University of Kansas in May 2026, I moved to the River Market neighborhood. I've been settling in by trying new restaurants and coffee shops and riding the streetcar.
I'm a huge football fan and cheer for two teams: the Kansas City Chiefs and the team from my birthplace, the New Orleans Saints. Outside of work, you'll find me at a Pilates class, walking my dog, Nola, or trying a new restaurant with friends. I make time for the people and activities that matter most.
My background includes work in both the legal and childcare fields, which taught me to adapt to very different settings. Now, as an executive assistant supporting Buttonwood's advisory team, I'm excited to build on those experiences in the next chapter of my career.
Fun Fact: I was born in New Orleans and lived there until I was three. Since then, I've called Missouri, Tennessee and Texas home.
