More than any other question, people ask me what it is about Buttonwood that makes us unique in an industry that looks so much alike. The answer has much to do with where it concept for Buttonwood came from.
For over 10 years I worked in and managed offices in a 6 state region for a nationwide brokerage firm. I oversaw and worked beside brokers that managed more than 100,000 accounts for more than 25,000 clients representing more than $1 Billion in investable assets.
When the firm I worked for was sold to a bank, I knew without a doubt — based on everything I had heard over the years — that a bank was not where most of my customers wanted to end up. So I took the comments, complaints, ideas, and wishes, I heard over the years and they became the founding philosophy for Buttonwood Financial Group.
Even today, in our customizable world, when we meet with prospective clients I still find it amazing how they are often left speechless when we ask what they want their money and investments to do for them. They're used to being told what can or can’t be done, then placed in a “box” along with everyone else that wants about the same things they do from their assets. At Buttonwood Financial Group we don’t tell you in which box you fit, we build the “box” to fit you. After all it’s your money, your needs, and your life – shouldn’t you help define the services you want?
